"Thank you for your email. Good to hear that Hilo gave the best results.
A couple of thoughts.
Every Hilo that is shipped meets or exceeds our published specs. We are pushing the limits on some of these specs, so to test and measure Hilo we needed to get customized Audio Precision test units. Since Hilo’s specs are better than most test equipment, this was necessary.
A 10 dB difference in a measurement could mean several things…
1. You got a really good one that far exceeds our specs
2. The one that measured 10 dB worse may need to come back here to Lynx so we can look at it to see if there is a problem with it.
3. (In my mind the most likely) a difference due to the testing equipment, cables, test methods or other variable.
We have not made any changes that would result in a 10 dB change in any spec.
Thanks for letting us know about your test. I will forward this to engineering who may have other comments as well."
Il semble qu'il y ait une alternative 4:
4. Testing setup where the signal is not converted in analog.
Nul besoin du "quand même", car il n'y a pas de déception quant à la précision des mesures.
De plus, le résultat reste impressionnant. Je ne peux qu'être satisfait. ^^
Bon réveillon à toi et à l'ensemble du forum d'ailleurs !
